<p>I just got accepted into UNC, but I was hoping to also qualify for the Honors Program. However, on my homepage, it doesn't say anything about it. Does this mean that I didn't get into it or do they release those results later in the application process(after regular decision)?</p>

<p>There was nothing about the honors program in the admissions letter. Bummer.</p>
<p>My daughter got into honors last year, but the notice came after her acceptance. Quite a bit later it seems.</p>
<p>S is also in the Honors program and his letter came a few weeks after the acceptance.</p>
<p>My son received the formal acceptance letter in the mail today along with a brochure. The brochure states that notification of Merit Scholarships and/or acceptance into the honors program will be received no later than March.</p>

<p>That's what the letter says but I think it's going to be more like two weeks from now, or at the latest first week of February. That's for Honors and scholarships.</p>
<p>Last year people really did hear about Honors all at different times. Just wait until Scholarship Day passes to start thinking about it, but it's very competitive, so no one should get their hopes up. It's really hard to predict.</p>
