<p>This was the first year they presented a unique 'Honors Experience' program, and quite frankly, it was pretty weak. I'm sure they'll improve next year with practice. Outside of the tour, we didn't learn much. One thing we did learn is that they are expanding the Honors Dorm space due to higher demand. However they've exhausted space in the existing Honors Dorm (McCarty), so their going to have a special Honors Freshman section in Lander, which despite what the maps say, is really effectively 4-5 blocks OFF campus through a mixed neighborhood of shops and bars. Not UChicago, but I'm not sure I'd plan on walking home alone from the libraries late at night, especially for female students.</p>
