I was just wondering what's the difference between the two? My school only offers AP and not honors, but I see a lot of people saying they have honors classes. Is it also weighted in a gpa? This is just from curiosity lol

AP > Honors, except at certain very challenging schools that have honors classes harder than AP classes.

AP classes are intended to be college-level courses, and the curriculum and exams are designed by the College Board, which also makes the SAT.

Honors classes vary more by school and there’s no standardized test for them. They are high-school-level courses, but intended to be more challenging than the regular courses.

APs and honors usually give you extra points on your weighted gpa. At my school for APs:
A=5
B=4
C=3
D=1
F=0

Weighting depends on your school, though. My school doesn’t weight anything, and some schools weight AP and honors equally.
