Honors and Greek Life combo

I was accepted to UT and UT honors but also am interested in going Greek. Could any current students tell me what it is like to be in both honors and a sorority?

Also, do I have a fair shot at rushing a sorority? I am from Dallas, have a high GPA, have multiple leadership positions (president of key club, newspaper editor), a drill team dancer, a professional model from a reputable agency, involved in multiple charitable organizations, have an internship at a law office, etc.

What do y’all think?

Sorry you aren’t getting any answers from current students. I seem to recall last summer parents posting that the Honors program orientation leaders thought sororities and honors mixed well but they discouraged fraternities and honors because fraternities involved a much larger time commitment. I looked for the thread but it must have been a reply to something unrelated.

Your resume is great for a sorority. As long as you have your rec letters lined up, the rest will be about how well you fit with the various chapters when you go through rush.

Thanks so much!
