Honors and Scholarships

I'm sure this has been asked/answered before, but I'm gonna ask again.

When and how do we find out about whether we've been invited to apply for the Honors College?

When and where do we find out about scholarships, if any, that have been offered?

Thanks! :)

I don’t know for sure but you maybe able to check scholarship stuff on isis. Just play around with the financial options to the left side. The thing to know is UF hates giving out scholarship money. When they do it is often need instead of merit based.

If you meet the criteria for UF Honors UF 4.00 GPA or better and at least 2170 on SAT you will get an e-mail next week inviting you to apply for the Honors Program. As to scholarships for low income and first to attend college there is the Opportunity Scholarship and there are a small number of Blue & Orange and other scholarship programs. Those that qualify will be notified during the next few weeks. It is important to file the 2012 FAFSA for UF as soon as possible.

Those invited to apply to honors program will get invitation on Monday 2/13/2012 via email and may apply online ( [University of Florida Honors Program](http://www.honors.ufl.edu/) ). Honors application essay is important part of selection.
UF generally gives very few merit scholarships.

At least a 2170? I thought it was a 2070. =/ I hope it didn’t go up! And I wasn’t really expecting many scholarships, lol, but if they do offer, I’d like to know where to look. Thanks for the information everyone! :)

nickir-- It’s 2070.

Even if you do not receive an invitation to apply for Honors, you can still petition for admission to the program. More details on the Honors page.

Thanks so much! I’ve spent hours on the Honor page, I just wanted to know when I could expect an email, if I could expect an email. :)
