In the admissions process, do UC’s take into consideration the number of honors courses during senior year? I ask this because I have improved my GPA by .8 between sophomore and junior year, but have never taken any honors classes before. I plan to write one of my essays about the circumstances regarding my drastic academic improvement and I think that admissions officers would appreciate a highly increased rigor of classes to demonstrate my true potential as a student.

The rigor of your senior schedule and improvement over the years are both taken into consideration.

The Power of One is correct. Rigor of your senior year course schedule is usually one of the top three factors considered for application evaluation.
