I sent in my Honors essay a little over 3 weeks ago and haven't heard anything, would it be alright to e-mail them and ask the status of my application, or should I just wait it out?

I have the same issue as you. I think we should wait.

Hmm that’s not easy for an impatient person like me :P

Have guys sent your honors applications just after being accepted?

I was accepted back in December and sent my essay in mid-January.

Is acceptance to the honors program rolling? Perhaps they want more essays from the newly accepted apps. I just got an email invitation to apply for the honors program.

hi there,

my daughter was accepted EA. She applied to Honors program on Jan. 15 and got her acceptance by email on Jan. 27th.

I sent mine in mid-January and received notification of acceptance 2 weeks later via e-mail. They said you should hear within 3 weeks, but they may be bombarded with essays, so I’d wait it out a little longer but if it takes longer than a month I’d check the status, just to make sure they received your essay.

Slight out of topic, but how can I apply for the honors program? Also, what’s the deadline for doing so?

I sent mine on the 25th. I think a lot more people are sending stuff in right now.

As for how to apply to Michigan’s honors, just look up Michigan LSA honors program and you’ll be directed to a site
[Honors - University of Michigan](http://www.lsa.umich.edu/honors/prospectivestudents)

Also, if anyone on here knows,
for the Regents Scholarship, according to Fastweb, only 525 go out. And there’s like 15-16k people accepted to Michigan (expected), so that would be like 3.28% of people accepted to recieve this 1500$. But I know a lot of people who weren’t that qualified who recieved that award. Is that 3% stat true?

Has anyone heard anything else about Michigan’s merit scholarships?

I received a merit scholarship - Tucker Memorial Scholarship.
$20,000 over 4 years ($5000/year) - doesn’t make much of a dent in the OOS tuition, but at least it’s something.
Came in the mail about a month after my acceptance.
