I see these 300 level honors classes listed but no info about them. Does anyone know anything-
$25 K question
Spirit in Colors
Mentor Entrepreneurship
And do they qualify as W as well?
S needs some W’s & might want to take an honors course before it’s too late.

Also, any scoop on the 2 credit honors photo class? How much work is it? And 70’s Cinema???
Of course getting in any of these classes seems like the luck of the draw since they are small sections& only offer 1 class

The kids I’ve known have LOVED the photo class.

The Mentor Entrepreneurship class sounds good!

If an Honors class has the W designation, then it does count for upper division W requirement (need a total of 6 credits). However, just to CYA, I would get an advisor approval (from major) that the major will accept THAT writing class. Some majors have required W classes. So check.

Don’t know how the regular sections are, but I’ve found the honors sections of micro/macro econ to be very easy. Professor Aldridge, for instance, (teaches honors micro/macro) gives so much extra credit it’s challenging not to make an A+.

My D did not care for Prof. Aldredge. She’d taken Econ in HS & understood the material but didn’t enjoy his classes. She ended up dropping it and picked up a regular section this semester (I’d need to double check the professor) that is a much better fit for her. She’d already had lots of honors classes, so that wasn’t the issue. Sometimes the professor/student fit isn’t there even if there are high ratings on RMP.

That is what daughter thinks. She was disappointed since used the HC list to read the descriptions and thought those classes would be interesting. Oh well, I think she has decided to take the IHP class instead. She is finding it difficult to fit UH courses into her daily schedule…art studios are big chunks of time!
