honors classes

are honors classes in college viewed the same way as honors classes in high school? as in "it's better to take an honors class and get a B, than to take a regular course and get an A"?
im just wondering b/c im pretty sure im going to get a B in my honors general chem class since my professor doesnt really teach and i want to transfer to a top 20 school

It depends on what the rest of your transcript looks like. An honors class is generally looked upon favorably.

Just Get It Done And Hurry Up >just Do It! Every Little Bit Helps

^ dude that's so random

Quality over quantity. So, if you have 6 intro classes like Basket Weaving 101, and a few more serious classes, you will certainly be looked at in a different light that someone with 4 Honors classes or upper division classes.

On that note, anyone with a B in non-Honors chem won't impress quite as much as someone with a B in Honors chem. I think you are fine. A few B's doesn't hurt. I also think that if you performed poorly in a class in high school but did better in college, that will look good too. Say you got a D or a C in a high school math course but placed a B the next year in a college math course. That shows improvement and devotion. College classes in general are much more difficult than high school.

*honours....not honors...

that American English just ticks me off!

lol..i was like that when i first moved here. But i just started spelling it the american way..

Why do you say that? It is always quality over quantity.
