Daughter submitted her Honors College application late January in time for the February 4 early deadline. She submitted it by mail. She just checked their website, and there is no reference to her having applied. Any idea when it is usual to hear? Most of her friends submitted their application much earlier and heard in January. Has anyone heard yet for the later deadline?

Also, do you think she'll get in? She has a 3.6 weighted GPA (weighted the way state schools weight -- her school transcript says 4.3) from one of the top high schools in South Florida, 2050 SAT, very good essay because she happened to have written a term paper on the topic, so she just shortened that up and sent it, good activities, 340 hours community service. I thought she would definitely make it even though her grades were on the low side because her SAT was 200 points higher than required and, as I said, she had a great essay. But now, with the waiting, I'm wondering. She was accepted to the school itself so quickly we almost threw out the letter because we weren't expecting it. So I guess I thought they were fast.

Thanks for any info.
