Honors College - Accepted/Declined

knightforum, I have the EXACT same scores as you on my tests. Weird. I kinda doubt I'll get in though :/ My GPA is 3.544ish unweighted but I'm in lots of honors/AP classes, so hopefullyyyyy crosses fingers I'm also a very good writer and a talented artist (not to brag) so I'll send in my portfolio and hope that it will help. I do FIRST robotics and our team just won the New Hampshire regional competition. I'm VP of the National Art Honor Society for my school's chapter, I've done lots of community service and have gotten an award for it. I also recently got first place in a gallery in our town's "Emerging Artist" show. I WICKED hope I have a chance of getting in.

My conselor actually told me that the UCF honors college mainly looks at GPA and SAT scores and that ec and stuff like that only makes a dent in their decisions. So much for well-rounded brainiacs!

I received my acceptance letter from the Burnett Honors College today!! =D
I sent my application on 2/23 so they probably received it around 2/26; my letter is dated 3/10 so it took just under 2 weeks for them to give me my admissions decision. This was the last thing I was really counting on even though I already made up my mind on attending UCF.

In case anyone wants a reference, my stats are 4.0 UW GPA/ 5.16 weighted (although it was 4.93 on the transcript I sent) and 1420/2050 SAT. Good luck to everyone else and hope you all get in as well!! :)

Congratulations marlins97!

Hopefully I will be joining you soon.
