I applied for admission to the University at Buffalo, EA, with Medicinal Chemistry as my major back in early October and sent my Honors College application on October 31 (they wanted it submitted when the application was submitted…no need for an acceptance to apply, just a submitted application). I’ve heard that people found out on November 12 that they were accepted to the University itself as Pharmacy/Biomedical Engineering majors and applied around the same time as me, maybe even later, but they did not apply for the Honors program. Do you think my decision is delayed because of applying for Honors? Is anyone else in this same situation?
Hey! I was accepted (Male, in-state). I applied to the honors college. The college and honors college are two totally separate things. You must first be accepted into the school and then they review the applicants for the honors college (not simultaneously).
I applied October 28 to the college, and around the same day the honors college. I hope we find out about the honors college soon. Let me know when you hear back! Good luck!
Hey! I just emailed them asking to make sure everything in my application is complete and that they have it; I’m female, in-state. That is the only thing I can think of that went wrong, but no one contacted me saying anything was incomplete. Congratulations on your acceptance, and let’s hope we get into the Honors Program! @SeanLeu I just got a reply back; they’re going to look into it and see what went wrong with my application. I’ll keep you posted! Is UB your top school?
@SeanLeu They never received my SAT scores. They were sent on 9/25, but UB never put them into my file. I called them and now everything is fixed and I should have a decision soon! And UB is one of my top choices too! I can’t wait to find out if I get accepted.
