Honors College Admissions - 2nd Wave

I have seen conflicting information on the website, and I’m wondering if anyone can clear it up. One page says that final decisions will be sent the week of Feb. 16th, while another page says all decisions will be received no later than Feb. 16th. So…which one is it?

The website that I found ( http://sc.edu/admissions/learn/honorscollege.html ) said " We will send your Honors decision no later than the week of February 16."

I dunno for certain, but I’d go with that. Hope this helped some!

For anyone interested, I had a Twitter exchange with Admissions, and (2nd wave) Honors college letters will be mailed the week of Feb. 16th. Which I guess actually means mailed the 17th since Monday is a holiday…

We are still waiting on our HC letter. Do you think we will hear anything if not admitted? My daughter did get the in-state tuition letter plus other money letter awhile back, but still no word on HC.

Today my son received a “No” letter on HC dated 2/19. He also received the “at least” scholarship/in-state tuition letter in December. I guess now we wait on Capstone. Does anyone have any knowledge of how Capstone participants are selected?

My daughter received her “yes” letter today for HC, dated Feb. 17th, with a note at the bottom to be on the lookout for her merit scholarship offer.

My daughter received “no” HC letter, I don’t feel good about much additional money with in-state, and without HC, but we will see. She has pretty much taken USC off her list, it really was a back up but we loved the campus.

Has anyone heard back on their “at least” scholarship/in-state tuition amounts?

Not yet. Admissions says “early March”. My definition of early March would be now, but that may not be their definition! I’d guess letters are going in the mail this week or next.

Our letter came today. More money than I was expecting. But with no HC my daughter is over it.

Okay, maybe she is not over it, she wants to go back for scholarship day. Ugh, I really thought we were narrowing it down.

Ha we are in the same boat…I think we might come down to a coin flip!
