I received my acceptance to Pitt on December 6. I think I have a chance at the Honors College. How long does it take after you receive the letter until they send out the scholarship and honors college notifications?

With my acceptance, I was told that I was going to receive information about the Honors College in a week or so.

The scholarship information came in the same envelope as the Honors College packet.

So, I got my letter today saying I was qualified to participate in the Honors College. But there was nothing in the packet regarding scholarships. So, does that mean I am getting nothing?

Or did some of you get a scholarship packet in addition to the honors college packet?

I tried calling the offices today, but I believe they are closed for the holiday.

Suzie, my son's scholarship info came later (maybe 10 days or so after the honors college information). With the holidays, it might be a couple of weeks before you hear anything. Enjoy your holidays!

thanks for confirming that. I thought I had read some posts that said the scholar awards came in a third packet but couldn't find them. That makes me feel better. Enjoy your holidays as well.

Yeah the letter about my full tuition scholarship came about two weeks after my honors college acceptance. I was freaking out thinking that I hadn't gotten any scholarship money, but it just takes a little while.

How do you know when you definitely did not get a scholarship? I got in like a month ago and since then I have just received one packet about Financial Aid and my expected major-- nothing about scholarships. How can I be certain?

I was also uncertain about this so I called them to ask and they said that I was really close, but didnt get anything. I would say that this is the only way to be sure.
