D got accepted to UVM honors program, UNH honors and URI honors. She also got accepted to MCPHS. She received their highest merit scholarship amounts for each one of these. I am happy that she got great benefits but D is upset that she got rejected from the schools she really wanted to get into (BU, BC, Northeastern).
She’s going for Neuroscience and plans on graduate school after so not being bogged down with debt is HUGE IMO but, like I said, she is upset that she only got into her safeties… My question is, for those that are familiar with these schools, are they “good”? If she gets good grades, will she have a chance to get into her target schools for graduate programs? Also - are the “honors” programs all that different from the regular programs?
We are visiting all of these over the next few weeks as an admitted student so she’ll have more info. then but can anyone give me any info./insights on these schools, specifically the honors programs?
She is still waiting on other schools to come in, but doesn’t look like she’ll get into any of the better ones judging on what she’s been rejected from so far… UMass Amherst most likely she will get in, but most likely no to all others (Tufts, a couple of Ivies).
Thanks for your help!!
