My D. and I visited Wooster this summer and found the campus to be beautiful and the staff very friendly and accommodating. I am aware that the school prides itself on its teaching, freshman seminar and capstone project for seniors and I think its pride is well-founded. COW seems like an amazing school. Here's my question: Does it have an honors college or program? I did not find anything on this subject on COW's website but I did see a comment that the rigor of the IS makes COW essentially an honors college for all students. Any info is appreciated.

Hi there! Glad you enjoyed your visit! My D is a College Scholar at Wooster about to start her sophomore year, she is invited to attend events with others with a similar scholarship but there is not an honors program per se.

I definitely agree that the IS is in and of itself equal to an honors thesis at other schools - some even start with IS in their junior year, though it is a requirement for all seniors. There is plenty of information on the Wooster web site of IS topics, projects, etc.

There are a bunch of us parents, current students and alums lurking about on the board here, so post any other questions you may have about Wooster! GOOD LUCK!
