Honors College Decision letters

My daughter has been narrowed down to the 1300 students in the running for the Honors College. I know there have been some acceptance letters sent out as well as a lot of rejection letters. It is my understanding that there are 1300 finalist and 500 will be accepted. Does anyone know when the final decision will be made. I know this weekend was scholarship weekend. MY D was not invited to it. She has been accepted to the C of C but hasn't heard from the Honors College. Does anyone have any information or experience with this?

Last year my son got his acceptance to CofC and then the honors big envelope came about a month later. It just arrived, no on line acceptance. Good luck.

I’m looking for the same info as the OP. My son loved both CofC and Alabama. He is in the HC at Bama already. He received his acceptance from CofC almost 2 months ago but is waiting on the HC.

If he loves football, Bama over CofC. No football at CofC

He is not a huge football lover, more of a soccer fan. That said he has been to games at FSU and loved the excitement and atmosphere of big time college football.

Thanks ELKyes. D got her big white envelope today. She is so excited. This was her only choice. Really relieved she is in. Does anyone know if the Honors College does and “Accepted Students Weekend”?

Timesharer - do you live in SC or the SE? We are hoping for a big envelope a well but didn’t receive anything yesterday. Maybe it will come today…

That is great news to those in … congrats!

Yes, there is an Accepted Student Weekend - March 22 - 23 - You can register on line for Honors Experience on March 22nd as well as the Accepted Student weekend with the general population on Saturday, March 23.

Accepted to Honors College!
OOS
Gpa: 4.56/3.88
ACT: 29
Exceptional work/volunteer/honor experience

Does acceptance into the honors college come with any scholarship $?

Money is not a guarantee. They have criteria for SAT scores and GPA to give money. And I think, but not positive, it is different if you are in or out of state.
