My D13 is in. I think it would be a great choice - certainly better than the "honors college" at I.U. where her brother attends. The latter gives very few perks. She still has some more selective program aps to submit. Hope she gets to visit before she makes a decision.

4mother–Not sure if you already know, but you must first apply and be admitted to the University. Once admitted, you may apply for the Honors College and other scholarships, using the student account tabs that will be set up online for your student.

The deadline for Honors College, etc., is Jan. 15. Since my son is accepted to the University, and has not finished his application yet for honors college, I’m not exactly sure how they notify of acceptance to that…perhaps Apollo can shed light…

Thank you. Yes, S13 has been accepted to the university and applied EA to Honors College.
The portal says “selection committee posted decision”, but we can’t find that decision anywhere!

My D received an email but it is also possible to see her status online if you click “see details” when you check status on the Special Programs and Scholarships application. I can’t remember what the early action deadline was. She still has to do the essays for 3 more programs/scholarships by Jan 10 I think. I hope you get good news!

My D also got email; that same day we checked portal and the only change was a link to upload a photo. Honors is compelling and certainly moving Ole Miss up in the list. Hope to visit in person soon.
