I was accepted into the honors college for letters and sciences and i was invited to apply to the ccs for mathematics. I was wondering if you can do both or if you can only do one of them? In that case which one has more benefits (smaller classes, getting the classes you want, recognition etc)? How hard is to change you major within the college or will i be stuck with mathematics in ccs? thanks!

As far as i know, CCS is what makes UCSB a unique place. I’d say take CCS, those are high school size classes with its own community. You actually learn things more critically as opposed to L&S. Recognition, CCS is probably better since the size is really small and they are designed for motivated students
