Honors College? Scholarships?

Same here, but before the letter arrived I think another letter inviting S to Honors college arrived and the message on the status page changed to the congratulations message. It felt like a looooong time. Hope you hear soon! and sooner!

Yes i got in. I applied early action and found out online. Then I got three separate letters for admission, admission to the honors college, and recieving a presidential scholarship

Hey congrats to all of you! Hofstra is on the top of my list. Do you know if there are still places left. I did apply and everything but they lost my SAT scores so I had to send them again and unfortunately they are still pending  Do you think I stand a chance?

SAT II Math 2C - 760
many ECs + Work Experience over 1900hrs and Social Work too.

I received my acceptance 3 weeks ago with an offer of Honors College. I have not received any scholarship offer yet. Surely, if I’m offered Honors College, they’ll offer some sort of scholarship, right?

MTPockets, if you are accepted to Honors College you will surely receive a scholarship. It can feel like a long time until you hear, but I believe you will hear something soon. I called on behalf of my son when he had a long wait and it seemed to expedite the process in his case. I was told on the phone that he would receive a letter about his merit scholarship in 2 days and he did. I really hate to bother the staff who would be overwhelmed if everyone called, yet I wondered if they had overlooked his file. These things do happen.
useraverage, you didn’t say what your gpa is, but your SATs look great. I would predict your acceptance.
Good luck to everyone who is waiting!

Congratulations to everyone! My status was changed last night online to “Congratulations” so I am happy to say that I am admitted as well. I had received an email awhile back that my decision had been mailed out on Feb 8 but still have not yet received anything in the mail so it was nice to see it online. Those of you who received invitations to the Honors College was that also posted online and did you receive the mailing separate from your acceptance? I hope to get some letters next week. Thanks!

My D applied EA-2 received both snail mail and email that transcripts not received. HS had a return card dated by University stating that transcript received well before due date. Emailed admission, transcript found. Then EA-2 decision date passed with no notification. Emailed admission office again and was told that app was complete and, decision should be coming soon. This was 3 weeks ago. Now my hofstra says application is incomplete! Does not state what is missing! Emailed admission again with NO response. Even if D was not accepted EA-2 there is a rolling admission starting Feb1! I know that admission office is busy, this time of year but really!

Two oldcars, that is so frustrating! and it’s the weekend, too. You or your D should call on Monday for clarification. If it’s any comfort, I would be wondering if the update was supposed to say something different and happier. Good Luck!
HobT10, the honors invitation came separately and was never posted online.
