<p>She won't appeal. Her SAT's were only 1230 combined CR/Math...and to be honest, she knows her big essay wasn't top notch. We were wondering about Capstone as well. We will patiently wait for the rest of the "news" either way from USC. It's still on her list of possible choices...largely due to the wonderful tour we had there in summer 2004, and the nice letters, phone calls and postcards she has received since her acceptance in November. We did see Capstone last summer (the dorm), and DH and another dad (a firefighter) noticed that there were NO smoke alarms or sprinklers in the rooms. DH said he will NOT allow his kiddo to live in a dorm without a sprinkler system...not since that Seton Hall fire. Does anyone know if there is a plan to add sprinklers to this dorm? We (and the firefighter family) were mighty surprised to see this. Our tour guide was also...he thought that ALL the dorms were sprinklered. Maybe the sprinklers were "hidden"...</p>
