I applied for the hutton honors college and selective scholarships back in January, and still haven't heard back. Everyone else I have talked to has already found out whether they got in, and the IU website said they would inform people within one month. Does anyone else have yet to hear, or does everyone already know? I really want to find out!

my daughter found out right away that she is in Hutton, but we haven't yet heard anything about the results of the scholarship application

I was accepted to IU in November, applied and was accepted to HHC in January, but I still have yet to hear back from the scholarship committee. They have about one week but it seems strange too wait until the last minute to release all the decisions. They made it sound like it would be rolling.

here's my advice: call them. I applied first of march, called about 2 1/2 weeks later inquiring about my status to find out that I got in.

I'm absolutely ectastic. I just found out I got accepted into the University of Chicago and IU's Huttons Honors College today. Good luck! I'm sure you'll find out soon. They're supposed to come in sometime early April.

I did the selective scholarship thing and didn't get my answer back till January when I had sent it in in October ish. I didn't get any money but that is how long it took.

armjs19:

I postmarked my application (the SSA) on December 11, 2006 and found out about my acceptance in mid-to-late January.

However, I did not recieve my scholarship notication until February 22nd.

Becuase they offered me the Metz scholarship (6,ooo per year/ 24,000) I have talked directly over the phone with their scholarship coordinator, Mark Zacharias. From our conversations, I have deduced that this year they (the committee) has been procastinating in offering acceptances, because they wanted to compare as many as the applications together before sending out letters. However, if you call, like many posters have suggested, I am confident that they will have your decision ready. Last year they enrolled 935 students into the honors college and about twenty Metz scholars. The Metz scholars is their largest scholarship so I doubt that they will offer anyone more than 6,000 per year.

I hope that helps!

Hutton vs. UofM LSA for premed/bio? Any thoughts? I was just accepted to Hutton yesterday and postmarked the day of the deadline.

what exactly do you mean by U of M? Michigan, Minnesota, or what?

michigan, sorry.
