I currently meet the requirement for the ACT (30), but I don't meet the class rank. I am just about 10% in my class but I should be close to the top 5% by the end of the semester. Does MSU count senior grades and will I still be able to get into the Honor's College even though it took my senior year to get me in the top 5% of my class?

Honors College goes by grade point average and ACT or SAT score. Don't worry about rank. If you aren't accepted right away you still can get into Honors College as a sophomore if you keep your grades up.

Whoops, I spoke too soon. I was thinking of Academic Scholars where they go by gpa. The Honors College does say that you have to be in the top 5%. If you know later in the year that you are in the top 5% maybe your couselor could send them a note.

from their brochure, they say if you are on or near their cutoffs for admissions to honors college, they will review your academic profile and make a decision as they see fit. Good luck

I'm around the 8th or 9th percentile with a 33 ACT and was accepted and offered a PA, so I guess it depends on competitive your high school is and such.
