honors college

is there an honor's college at ND?

If so what are the perks and how do you get invited?

There is an Arts & Letters and Science Honors Program and an engineering honors program, but I don’t know anything about the engineering other than that it exists.

ALSC involves seminar format for your intro classes, so instead of a 40 person classroom or a 200 person lecture, you get a 17 person seminar. Nice if you want to participate in class and get to know professors immediately. There’s also a lounge with free food and printing. There are research grants specifically for honors students so you don’t have to compete with everyone else in the ISLA, Nanovic or Kellogg programs (although ISLA gives out so many grants that it shouldn’t be difficult to get funding any way). And there is a senior thesis requirement.
