One of the main perks of Honors College is its better housing. However, depending on what courses you choose, you might find yourself struggling to get the GPA you would otherwise earn with relative ease in normal LSA.

Whats the housing like?

i'm also wondering... how do the class sizes compare?

HARR, honors classes are generally easier than normal classes.

Is it really that easy to get a good gpa with relative ease at Michigan? I hear this from quite a few posters on CC.

rjkofnovi - I have a high GPA but I work my ass off for it (Biology major). I know tons of people struggling to maintain a 3.0. Remember, CC is not representative of the general population.

That's what i thought CCRunner123. :-)

It is fairly easy to get a good GPA, in the sense that if you put in the time, you'll likely do well (at least in engineering). It's not as if the subjects are so hard it's impossible to get an A no matter how much you try. So it's pretty much up to you.

umich is no walk in the park, no matter how hard your high school classes. were. your gpa will be directly correlated to the amount time you are willing to put into classes. I found the honors classes to be more relaxed (less competition) than my non-honors classes.

i got into LSA, and i was wondering how and when i apply for the honors college?

I don't think there is a hudge difference between honor housing and normal doorms. Although I think most honor housing have quiet dorms.

honors housing is in south quad, which is a relatively good location, and is definitely a safe bet considering some get stuck on north campus or a less pleasant location relative to where the majority of your classes are.

also, honors college students pick their classes before everyone else!
