<p>Got his regular acceptance letter about Oct 19. Got the honors college invite letter Nov 11. So - almost a month later.</p>

<p>I got my acceptance letter, followed by the scholarship notification two to three weeks later, and finally the honors college letter last week.</p>

<p>Good to know. My D qualifies for scholarship and honors based on her stats so I will keep checking the mailbox. I wonder how soon you learn if you are admitted to the honors college, for housing purposes. This no guarantee of housing thing makes me a little nervous. :|</p>

<p>Has anyone been notified about receiving the “Heritage” scholarship (worth 2/3 tuition based on stats)? DS qualifies but has not heard anything. Sure would like to have it in writing!</p>

<p>nj_mom, as long as you sign up for housing by April you should be good from what I understand. Most people don’t sign their housing deposit until they’re fully sure Auburn is their choice.</p>

<p>I contacted Auburn last week after my DS received her ACT scores which placed her in the Heritage Scholarship category. As noted on their website - [Office</a> of University Scholarships - Academic Scholarships](<a href=“http://www.auburn.edu/scholarship/academic-scholarships.html]Office”>http://www.auburn.edu/scholarship/academic-scholarships.html) - Competition for these scholarships is keen, and consideration does not guarantee that a scholarship will be awarded.
According to Auburn, every year the size of qualified applicant pool is different. They will send notifications in December before Christmas holidays.</p>

<p>Oh - I missed the fine print and that’s not the impression that adcom rep we talked to gave me. Okay - well, we’ll just have to wait to see what happens!</p>

<p>We were told that the scholarship notices are sent out in December for out-of-state students. Honors college application notice came about 1 month after acceptance. I believe they said decisions come in Jnuary.</p>

<p>momto4, I don’t think that’s necessarily true. I think it’s based on whenever you submitted your application. I’ve already gotten everything and I live in Florida. I sent my app in in July/August.</p>
