My son has 3 acceptances so far. University of VT honors college, University of NH honors college and Northeastern non-honors. His numbers: 35 ACT, 4.8 GPA (3.98/4.0), 6 AP and one college class (A’s), captain tennis team, mock trial, model u.n., natl. honor society, volunteer hours. You get the picture. Question: anyone’s son/daughter get into Northeastern honors and can you share their stats/resume? Thanks.
My son also has 3 acceptances so far, all honors, for engineering: Villanova, UMass Amherst, and Northeastern. Has a 35 ACT, 1560 SAT, 4.5 UW GPA, 4.7 W GPA, 9 APs after this year ( 5s so far on Calc AB, Physics, computer science, English lit), several HS departmental academic awards, usual activities of varsity sport, club president, nhs, volunteer, and internship. For Northeastern he got into honors program with merit scholarship of essentially $28000/year as long as he maintains a 3.0.
Thanks so much for that info. Just a curiosity, I thought UW GPA was out of a 4 point scale but you list 4.5 UW. Can you enlighten me?
Thanks!
My daughter was accepted into Alabama, Umass Amherst and Northeastern’s honors programs. 1540 SAT 4.2W GPA, 9 AP’s(5 this year) 5 Scores on AP exams, research project at MIT, plays a somewhat unique instrument and president of two student organizations. I hope this information helps:) Good luck to your son!
