<p>thanks paul…i really didn’t expect this simple statement to get blown this far out of proportion…and i live in a super small town in southwest texas as in near eagle pass, laredo corridor…i’m the only one from my school going to UT, another one going to tech and one person going to a&m…most people in my town go to ju.co. and transfer to utsa or go to tamiu (in laredo) so to have some one go to one of the big three in texas is a big deal, so maybe i shouldn’t have said they say it in south texas but in my town. thats why i made that statement, just putting out there the general consensus in my area and the fact that UT is one of the original “public ivies”…sorry if i offended anyone, but i really didn’t think it would be blown this severely out of proportion. </p>
<p>but i digress, just go to the school that fits you and your needs, for me it turned out to be UT, but for you it could be USC, Duke, Columbia, or God forbid a&m (just kidding). Go with your gut instinct and make sure you go out there and tour the different schools.</p>
