<p>Last year the Honors college sent out an email invitation for the honors convocation. Once school starts, the Honors college will send out weekly newsletters with all the latest news and activities.</p>
<p>The convocation last fall was on September 11, 2011 in the Ferguson ballroom from 5-6 PM with a reception following. Dress was Business Informal.</p>
<p>The convocation was the official induction into the Honors College. It was also your chance to sign the official pledge that hangs in the Honors college and receive advice about your next 4 years.</p>
<p>What is Business Informal dress?</p>
<p>Business Informal is usually a step up from Business casual.</p>
<p>Last year, a lot of the young men wore nice polo shirts or button downs with khaki pants or dress slacks. Wear nice shoes. Don’t wear shorts, jeans, flip flops or tennis shoes.</p>
<p>For the young ladies: Casual dresses or skirts would be fine.</p>
<p>Yes, you should dress for the Honors Convocation. For young men, a pair of nice slacks and button down shirt with dressier shoes (not sneakers), for young ladies a nice pair of pants and blouse or skirt would be appropriate.</p>
