<p>Can a regular student get into Honors courses? I'm really interested in Honors Fiction or Poetry writing but I'm not sure if I'll be able to get into either one if I'm not in Honors. Should I just take CRW: 1101 (Begin Fiction Writing) instead?

<p>yes. policy changes per department, but generally you can do just about anything with the permission of the professor who teaches it. i want to say some departments have a stricter policies on this than others though.</p>
<p>If I remember correctly non-honors students can sign up for honors courses during drop/add if there are still openings. In honors we are assigned a different sign up time specifically for honors courses so we get kind of a first dibs. Usually honors courses fill up quickly because they are required, but if there are still openings you may be able to get it.</p>
