Honors Decision

do any of you know how long it usually takes for them to make a decision after they recieve your Honors essay? Has anyone been accepted in the month of January yet?

I know there are a lot of people who have already been accepted. I'm not sure how long until they make a decision, but I believe somebody told me he got a decision in two weeks after he submitted the essay.

i was like 10 days

are the decisions avaliable online or submitted by mail?

mail .

Does anyone know what percentage of students that apply make it into the honors college? If you dont mind me asking, what are you stats goblue? I just sent in my essay.

It took them 3 weeks to tell me...i got a letter in the mail today.

I just called them and they told me that they were going to review again in February. (I sent in the essay a month ago) Does this mean I've been deferred? I'm so nervous right now!

My DD got her letter of admission in about 2 weeks after she submitted her essay. The letter said that they admitted into the Honors Program about 10% of the newcomers.

Thanks for all your replies, I just got the admission letter today, it took about 3 weeks.

My son got a nice letter today saying he was admitted to the honors program. He had not even applied - didn't even start his essay.

micromom - it was most likely an invitation to apply. From my knowledge, they do not just auto-accept people.

Actually, I heard they do accept applicants with outstanding credentials without even asking them to write an essay. I'm not sure if it is true, but I actually read it on this forum.

He received an invitation to apply via email a couple of months ago. The letter he received yesterday by snail-mail says " Dear ........., Congratulations! It is our great pleasure to offer you a place in the Honors Program in the ........." It was a long two-page letter.
