Hi! I am a student who was accepted in early action and applied for honors. Does anyone know when those decisions are being released?
@collegegagal - Acording to the Honors site, Honors College decisions will be announced “after RD decisions” which is March 1st
It was posted on the UGA Admissions blog that the bulk of RD decisions will be announced on 3/15/19.
DD is a OOS Foundation Fellows applicant and applied RD, got a no to the program, and just heard today that she is accepted into UGA and the honors program.
My Son has been accepted to the Honors College at UGA but we know little about it. I realize the classes tend to be smaller and you can sign up for classes early but when comparing to other universities, how highly regarded is the program and does it enhance possibilities significantly post graduation? I realize I am getting ahead of myself here as he hasn’t started yet but we are trying to compare to other universities which he has been accepted. Any color would be helpful.
Congrats to your son. Students in the honors program all have priority to live in Myers Hall as first year students. They have the ability to do research earlier than most, in their first year. They can apply to get fully funded internships and/or study abroad trips. They have many networking opportunities and several special programs are offered on campus. I hope this helps.
@meritaided Thank you+ just trying to get a handle on things. Helpful+ My D is a Jr at UGA but her “focus” is different than her brother’s. Haha. Trying to stay within the lines.
Anyone here care to share experiences re: honors? My S was accepted and tying to decide between UGA and 2 other schools. Thanks.
