Is it true that most freshman in honors housing are placed into Blanton?
tia

There are freshman in all honors halls. Your priority is based upon when you paid your housing application fee.

AFAIK upperclassmen are able to request which part of the quad they’d like to stay in and then freshmen are placed in the holes. Upperclassmen are less likely to pick Blanton so there will be more open spaces in Blanton.

UT Housing-- Once a student is in honors housing, the priority doesn’t matter at that point, does it? There doesn’t seem to be any way to indicate which honors dorm would be the first choice and so on.
Are students with an earlier housing application fee date more likely to be assigned to a dorm other than Blanton?

Andrews and Carothers will have 50% freshman living in them. Blanton will have 60% freshman. Students who applied early will have a better chance of getting their first choice.

That’s good to know–thank you. I’m sorry to be so dense, but will the freshmen be given a chance to rank the honors dorms in order of preference at some point?

No. The Honors Quad is treated as one building when you choose your preference.

Thank you.
