<p>Depends. Is English a subject you're interested in pursuing? How rigorous are the rest of your courses?</p>
<p>If you're taking heavy math/science/language APs and English is not your strong suit, that's probably fine.</p>
<p>As long as your courses are rigorous and you can take the English Lit and/or English Lang. AP it should make no difference. Some of the top private schools have no "English AP" courses but their students take and ace the Engllish AP's.</p>
<p>I second what Caleno said. My HS has no honors or AP classes for English, and I was still able to get a 5 on the AP, so don't worry about it! If you want to take the AP next year, you can, but if you don't feel up to it, then there is no pressure to! Good luck!</p>
