I'll be a freshman in SAS Honors this year... would the best place for me to live be Brett Hall? I'm really academic and focused on school, but I'm sure I'll want to party sometimes too. I also like that there's "stuff" (restaurants, etc.) on College Ave, as opposed to the other campuses. What's the vibe of Brett Hall & what kinds of students live there?

The description of what you want pretty much nails Brett Hall. I’m living here now and can tell you everyone living here is incredibly intelligent, with a mix of the strongly academic-minded and the party goers. You’ll find most of the residents here to be very outgoing and social, but there is also a solid group of the more introverted, who hang out on their own, and don’t like to go out. It’s definitely a great mix of people with an amazing atmosphere, and I’m sure you’ll fit right in.

(P.S. Fourth floor best floor)

That sounds absolutely perfect – can’t wait to submit my housing app! Thanks so much for your response :)

I have a question. I’m an incoming freshman for the Class of 2016. I will be attending Rutgers in the fall.
I’m going to the School of Arts & Sciences for Communication/Media. If I enroll now, what are my chances of getting into the Stonier Residence Hall on College Ave?
I know it’s pretty popular and fills up quickly.

I agree with everything DarkWastheNight said. I lived in Brett Hall for two years and it was so much fun, both intellectually and socially stimulating. You just can’t beat being walking distance from Easton Ave and the downtown area. Would recommend Brett to anyone.
