Honors invitation = Acceptance?

I got the e-mail but did not get an honors letter.

^Same here.

Did someone not get the e-mail at all?

WAIT!!???? I didnt get the email. I got invited to apply to honors though!!!??? should i call or email them?

I don't think its anything to worry about:

The entire e-mail can be found here:
<a href="http://www.admiss.vt.edu/news/0208/email%5B/url%5D">http://www.admiss.vt.edu/news/0208/email</a></p>

The e-mail is easily viewable from front page admissions so I think they sent it to everyone who applied.

Hahha...crap. i think i misunderstood that letter. and i jsut sent a email to them.........they will probably think im stupid now.... I thought it meant they emailed u the offer of admission. I really hope i didnt screw myself over.

So since they sent some notifications of admissions today are they going to post them online as well? I checked mine and it doesn't say anything.

"Early notification of admissions offers was sent on February 22 to those students who are admissible and statistically eligible to apply to University Honors and whose applications were completed and evaluated prior to this date."

Does this mean that the Honors application needed to be complete and reviewed prior to Feb. 22 or are they simply referring to the overall application?

no, they are referring to general applications. There is still plenty of time to apply for Honors.

about what percentage of students get honors?
