I am a Ross PA, and I am considering applying for the LSA Honors program. However, I am mostly just interested in doing it in order to guarantee myself a dorm on Central Campus. Its not that I do not want to participate in the Honors program, but I am just more concerned with living in South Quad. Do you think it is worth it? Would I live with only other honors kids? Obviously, I do not expect that I will definitely get into the program.

worth it 10 char

Agreed. SQuad is mostly honors and athletes I believe.

Correct me if I am wrong, but don’t some Honors College freshmen get placed in Couzens, which is on the Hill?

I think some of them are over there, but the majority are still in South Quad.

Not exactly. There’s something like 3 floors or so reserved for just upperclassmen. So really it’s a mixture of honors freshmen on the lower floor, certain sections that are for athletes, and a lot of upperclassmen who chose to live there.

Also I don’t think there’s that many athletes in South Quad. I think the majority are in West Quad.

Couzens gets the overflow. But living in Couzens is fine - the Hill is cool.

Couzens is going to be closed next year so I’m pretty sure they’ll all be placed in South Quad

I’m considering the honors program as well. What’s South Quad like?

Are the kids in honors less social?

South Quad housing is 95% of the benefits honors provide anyway, the other 5% being the over-inflated curve

Relative to Markley and the like? Probably
