For UMD Honor LLP programs, is there a "best" one or any one I should stay clear off? I've been hearing a lot about gemstone--is it the general consensus that this is one of the best LLP programs?

S and GF attended UMD. Today they told me Gemstone is the most work, lots of teamwork involved, 4 years of coursework, most rewarding. Neither one of them did it, however, both being Scholars.

I don’t think there is one better than the other. Just depends what you’re looking for.

Don’t do Gemstone. I know people in it, and they all say it’s a lot of work. I’m a Freshman in the Honors college, and I am in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation program. Obviously, I would recommend that one, especially if you are engineers or business majors, or if you want to gain some entrepreneurial experience like me. It’s only two years of coursework, and it’s not that hard, but you can get a lot out of it.
