Is there a thread or posts on here about the supposed Honors Living-Learning Community in Riverside West, Lakeside West, and Ridgecrest West/North. Does anyone have experience with this L-L Community in any of these dorms? How is this different to participating in Honors College, or is this what is expected of Honors College members? How do students in other honors dorms (other than the ones listed above) participate in this LLC?

The online info was kind of hidden - it’s on the housing website, under “Assignments”…click “LLC”. Also, anyone ever been in the Arts On Campus LLC?

Based on my son’s first year, I think the Honors LLC is basically living in one of the dorms/floors reserved for Honors students.

Hi aeromom,

A student in the Honors College has the option of living in Honors Housing, but it is not required. Some Honors students want to live among other Honors students, which is one feature of Honors Housing. Honors residence halls also have faculty-in-residence who live within them, interacting with the residents and offering programming. Sometimes Honors class meetings take place within Honors housing, as well as social events. However, a student can be in the Honors College and take Honors classes while living somewhere else.
Please note, because of the demand for Honors housing, if a student is eligible for Honors housing but does not live there as a freshman, that student likely cannot move to Honors housing for his or her sophomore year.
