Honors Medical Scholars Program questions

The website does not give much information on the Honors Medical Scholars Program. Does anyone know how many are invited to interview? How many are selected? Is there any scholarship money associated with selection? When is the interview weekend? How long has FSU had this program? Thanks!

I have pretty much the same questions you have because there doesn’t seem to be much information on the program’s website. I did hear that the interview weekend is March 27th and someone posted on another feed that they interview 30 and accept 10-15, if my memory serves. I would love to hear anything you find out!

do you know when they’re going to say whether we got an interview or not?

I was told by the end of this week they will have notified all interviewees. I hope that is accurate! My child is on pins and needles!

cool! So you think they will tell us if we didnt get it too right? like they wont just leave us hanging?

From what I have heard, students who applied for Presidential Scholars received a rejection email if not chosen. I would assume that Medical Honors would do the same.

Has anyone heard anything yet?

Nothing here yet!

Nothing here either!

Anyone going to Presidential Scholarship weekend? Ask Honors Medical program whether the interview could be combined with the scholarship weekend March 20-21?

My son was invited to PS weekend and we will be attending. He has not received anything from Med Honors yet.

Can you share is PS weekend notification was by email or snail mail. We have not heard anything from Med Scholar yet. I was told they will notify by by 02/28.

emray65, My daughter have not received interview nor rejection from PS application.

tulsi3patel–I sent you a message to answer your question.

Any one received anything from FSU Med Scholar.

My daughter did not get the invitation for FSU Med Scholar interview… We were a bit disappointed. But we will move on.

We went to UCF Burnett Medical Scholar day last week. I was very impressed with UCF Medical School. Very inovative, research oriented. Average USMLE Step 1 score 239 (Higher than Harvard per admission dean). I think for undergrad, FSU would be a better school for my daughter. But for medical school, UCF would be a much better choice.

Again, quite disappointed, but we will move on.

Best wishes to all who got invited. FSU screened their interview invitees very tightly. If you got invited for med scholar interview, relax, you are in.

Was it snail mail or email about rejection
