Honors Notification?

Yes- My S recieved snail mail first part of this month.

Scores were 800-720-770.

GPA something over 4.

7 AP classes to date, 5's and 4's on all (The Honors rep explained during our campus visit that diffculty of coursework and GPA are the top 2 metrics for their decision, with SAT scores weighted a little less).

I have some information on the notification process at Honors that I have received that may be helpful. For Early Action applicants, a small group of students whose GPA, test scores, and rigor of curriculum are high, will receive a letter from Honors automatically admitting them. Another group of students will have the Honors application mailed to them inviting them to apply. Most students will not hear anything from the Honors program, but plenty of students get into Honors by volunteering their application with their first semester transcript from senior year. The deadline for students who applied Early Action to apply to Honors is February 1st. All those students will hear whether or not they got into Honors in early April.

Those applying for the Fellowship who get an interview will be admitted to Honors if they haven't been already.

Hope that helps!

Does anybody know approximately how many students are automatically admitted to the Honors Program?

Oops...i just looked at my admissions packet again because of Spartan's post. What I thought was the invitation to apply to honors in my acceptance packet was actually an acceptance letter for honors. No more waiting for letters (for now). Just have to wait for FF decision.
