Honors or AP english senior year?

I’m going to be a senior next year, and I was debating whether to take English 12 honors or AP Literature. I’ve gotten A’s in all my english classes so far (9 honors, 10 honors, and AP Lang), but english is definitely not my favorite subject (I’m more of a math/science person; I plan on majoring in chemical engineering). I especially can’t stand poetry. I enjoy AP Lang because I like reading nonfiction and analyzing rhetoric, but I don’t know how motivated I’d be in AP Lit. I’m worried that moving from AP Lang to honors english will send a bad message to colleges that I’m not sufficiently challenging myself. I already plan on taking AP Econ, AP Calc BC, and AP Physics C: Mech next year. If I don’t take Lit, I will probably take AP Bio since I’ll have less work and more room on my schedule (Lit has double periods at my school). All of the colleges I’m looking at appling to (not Ivy League, but highly rated liberal arts schools) only give credit for Lang or Lit, but not both. So, should I take AP Lit for the challenge and course rigor, or should I drop back to honors english?

Note: I’m taking AP Lang, AP Chem, and APUSH now, if it makes a difference.

I don’t think it matters that much. Since you like math and science more, I would suggest you keep english 12 honors so you could maintain your gpa and also be less stressful. Plus Ap Bio would be good to have and AP lit is pretty hard.
