I registered for Pre-Calculus Honors in January, but now I'm seriously thinking about taking AP Stats for my senior year. I got As both semesters in my Analysis of Functions/Trigonometry Honors class this past school year. I feel like taking AP Stats will enhance my profile for college admissions this fall. I'd like some feedback on this. Thanks.

It might be too late for me to answer, but…

If you cannot take both, I would aim for Pre-calc. Pre-calc will give you the foundation for calculus, which is great to take in college. At our school, pre-calc is really just algebra II and trig (with a tiny intro to calculus), so if you’re good with math, then maybe you can self-study and test out.

Maybe you could self-study for AP stat? I think I’m planning to do that.

Calculus is definitely a math you should take, and if your school/college won’t let you test out, then go for pre-cal. Otherwise, try for AP stat.

Also take in consideration your major for college.
