Honors Pre-calc or Regular Calc

Hi,

So I skipped Pre-calc over the summer and I’m eligible to take regular calc now. Since honors pre-calc is weighted, but regular calc is a harder class, which one should I choose between the two? I’m capable for either class, but I want to know which one would colleges prefer?

Colleges prefer rigor so they would prefer the calc class.

If you can and/or want to take AP Calc, take it. Otherwise take regular Calc since you have already skipped Precalc.

What grade are you in?

If you’re going into 12th, take regular calc. If 11th or lower, take whichever you want since you’ll have time to take AP Calc next year.
