My s had three attachments, the acceptance letter, the scholarship, and financial aid, but nothing about Honors? If it does not say it in the letter I guess he didn't get in?

zamzam-my s deans scholarship was only 11k per year? I thought it was going to be 15K too.

I didn't get anything about financial aid.

I set up myNEU and it just said finaid was TBD.

I have a decision letter, a scholarship letter and a finaid letter.

Could those of you that got Honors post your stats and major? Thanks

Hm... No honors program, but at least I got $10,000/year from the Dean's scholarship.

chelseafc, I was told that the honors decision could be reviewed.

There is a process in place for appealing but I don't know anyone for whom it's worked (but I'm hoping!).

that's good to hear! can anyone point me in the direction of where/how to start the appeal process?...

I think my D emailed the head of the honors program and the dean of admissions and got an email back pretty quickly telling her what she needed to do. She was accepted EA and then sent a letter, her mid-term grades and 2 more recommendations but hasn't, as yet, heard the result.

thank you, santosfan. best of luck to your D!

I recieved the Carl S. Ell Scholarship along with accpetance to the pharmacy program. What does it mean to be in the honors program? I am not really sure.

what's so great about the honors program?

The dorms. There are a couple of other things, but the honors residences are amazing.

There are various "perks" throughout the year in addition to the amazing housing. There are honors events and opportunities for discounted tickets to cultural and art performances. For example they offered tickets to the Boston Ballet Nutcracker at Christmas time for just $10, and just last week they attended some sort of play and dinner at PF Changs at no cost to the students. There have been others that my daughter has not participated in.
