How long is the essay supposed to be? or is it just a paragraph or so?

250 words

does anyone who apply (and are eligible) get in?

does anybody know if its like whoever is eligible and applies gets in, or is there a chance that even though you're eligible you still might not get in??

if you're eligible, the only way you can apply and not get in would probably be by NOT writing the essay xD

Wait...so does that mean whoever applies gets in?

no... but if you're eligible (as in, you have the grades/SAT or are in the top 3% of your class), then when you apply, you'll get in.

Oh, that's what I meant

so what exactly benefits of the honors program?? it seems that you have to take more honors classes (harder classes), to meet these requirements and maintain a certain gpa?? is it worth it?

there are... so many threads on this topic... search for them xD
doesn't have energy to convince you that yes, IMO, it is worth it yet not for everyone

just to reiterate, from what ive heard, everyone who has the gpa requirement and that can write 250 words gets in.

I understand that if you are an incoming freshmen, UCLA notified you with your acceptance letter.

Well that made me hate myself. I qualify for the honors program but not admissions.

bummer.......
