Honors Program at Ithaca

Some time ago I heard/read that students accepted into Ithaca College's honors program received a significant tuition reduction. Can't find that info now. Does anyone know if honors students pay full tuition or get a rebate?

I am going to be in Honors this fall, and there is no scholarship offered to honors students. The leadership program offers a scholarship…perhaps that is what you were told about?

When I attended Ithaca, Honors students who were invited as freshman were all Presidential Scholarship recipients, though I don’t know if this was how they were selected or it happened that way because the top students had all received the top scholarship. Of course, this is excepting students who were recommended for Honors by their professors, who definitely do not receive a special scholarship for this. A friend of mine was recommended, for instance, but was receiving only the Flora Brown award.

This year I’m not entirely sure. Bob told me that they accepted 200 into Honors this year aiming for a class of 80, but I don’t know how many actually matriculated and whether or not they all received the Presidential scholarship because I transferred. Anyway, the conclusion is that no, you don’t receive a scholarship for being in Honors, but you most likely have been chosen for a scholarship (which you learn about before you hear about Honors).
