I was accepted to USD and offered the Alcala Scholarship, and was invited to apply to the Honors Program. Is it worthwhile to apply? Also, what are my chances of getting accepted? I understand that it is very selective, and I would like to know if I have a shot. My GPA is a 4.1, and my SAT score is a 2110 (750 in Reading, 670 in Math, and 690 in Writing). I am also a National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholar, and am very involved in activities both inside and out of my high school. Any tips or advice would be appreciated!

Hello jtauer13. I received the same and also will be applying. Curious to know where you heard that admission to the Honors Program is very selective/difficult. Let’s keep in touch and share. I am hoping to learn more about the program as well.

hey I just got accepted into the honor’s program. I have a 30 ACT and around a 4.0 gpa. They emailed me and told me I was accepted not even a week after I sent in my application so I don’t think its that selective! Good luck!

Thanks for the response collegebound1218 (by the way, my CB 1213 is for college bound 2013!). Great minds, right? Let’s keep in touch. Are you going to any of the admitted students events?

I hope so! I’m registered for the one of the 13th but I am not sure if I can go yet. What about you?
