Has anyone heard yet? It is my D's first choice. Any current Honors students who can give us information on the program?

Haven’t heard yet either. When did you apply? We applied by December 1st deadline.

D also applied by Dec. 1. Is your child going there regardless of whether she or he gets in? CofC is becoming first choice. We are out of state.

i got into honors a couple of weeks ago, i applied early though

S got in EA and it’s definitely tops on our list. The Honors College is a huge draw but if he doesn’t get accepted into HC we’re still thinking seriously about it.

Congrats. Did you hear by snail mail? What else did letter say? Hoping D gets in. That would clinch our decison. Can I ask your stats?

I called the Honors College last week to find out when the kids would start to hear. The girl who answered the phone was very nice and said it’s rolling decision and they started sending them out in batches before Christmas. I thought it was odd since my daughter send hers in 11/24 that we’ve heard nothing. She checked my d’s file to make sure it was complete. Turns out, they never received it and only had her letters of rec. Thank good ness I called! So we re-emailed the application - - we emailed the first time around but it may have gotten stuck in a spam folder. The lady said that she’d make sure the committee received it this week and my daughter should hear something by the end of January. They let you know either way - if you got in or not…

Thanks, we heard EA CofC by snail mail but also saw it posted on Courgar Trail. I don’t recall what the letter said but we did get a letter encouraging him to apply to HC, so we did apply. Stats are 2020 SAT and 31 ACT. GPA not as strong but S goes to a very rigorous HS where class rankings do not appy. S has taken several honors and AP courses throughout.

I found out that I had been accepted into the Honors College right before Christmas. I sent my application in towards the end of November.

Congrats atbraves7! I’m curious if your honors college acceptance came with any scholarship money? That’s what my D is holding out for.

Thanks!! No mine didn’t come with any scholarship money.

Just got my letter today! I was accepted to C of C Honors. I’m out of state as well. My Stats: SAT 2170 and GPA 3.6 (but, I attend a small, competitive charter school). Good Recs and a solid supplement. I sent my application in right around the deadline.

My daughter found out she was admitted to the Honors College today and is super excited - 1310/1600 SAT, UW3.85/W4.7 GPA, top 8%.
