"Honors Program" courses weighed for TRANSFERS?

I'm currently at a community college in N. California.I joined the "honors program" (or I think it's also referred to as TAP specifically for UCLA), and took 3 honors courses this semester and will be taking three more this spring.

I applied to UCLA and UCB this past November (as a junior for Fall 2008). My main questions are:

(1) Is GPA "weighted" for transfer students?
As in, do I get that "extra 1 point" per each honors course I took, or is it no go?
I've been told yes by one counselor at school, but have been reading up online and many other people say both no and yes.

And that having been asked, also:
(2) Do UCLA/UCB look at the weighted GPA, unweighted GPA, or both?

(3) Lastly, everyone here talks about "transfer GPA" or "prerequisite GPA" or something similar, and that UCs will ONLY look at one type of GPA (namely, one of those). But I don't get it..: Do they look at my grades earned ONLY in courses relevant to my major [econ] or do they look at all courses that I am able to TRANSFER [including but not limited to my major]?

Sorry if that's too wordy!
Thanks so much in advance!

1) no, you don't get extra 1pts...

2) there is no weighted GPA nor unweighted... only UC transferable GPA..

3) they look at every class you took but focuses more on your pre-req courses..

Hey, did anyone mark their classes as honors on the page when you enter classes and grades? I wasnt sure whether I was suppose to write it in for example, H: Anthropology. I didnt end up doing anything because there were no instructions to do so. Should I mark them when I submit fall grades? What did all of you do?

no i don't think you need to..

Where are you getting your info Torrancecali?

...

For our honors classes, like Art Appreciation Honors for example, I first listed it as "ART 4" as my transcript says that but that's not correct!

BUT It is really supposed to be "ART 4HONOR" with the "4HONOR" part as the actual course number (instead of just "4"). To confirm if it works, submit it and scroll down. If correct it should list "CCCT" California Community College Transferable in blue right next to it.

Also in the title, list the full class title (w/ the Honors part)

To get the full listings on the course numbers (for the HONORS classes, etc.) go to ASSIST Prompt Page click on UC Transferable courses and view each by type (ART, ECON, POLI SCI, etc...)

BTW, does anyone else have any opinions whether honors courses are weighted or not? I hate to think that they are only relevant to UCLA (I was told that other UCs, despite not participating w/ the TAP program directly like UCLA, still look on honors courses favorably...);

Anyone??

Cheers.

Yah obviously other UC's look at it and it looks great!
with TAP UCLA 90% in.. but UCB won't effect that much... (they will still look)
my first choice is UCB and if UCB had a TAP program i would of finished my honors program!(im in honors program)
like wat i said honors course in college is not weighted like high school

thank you flvrtm,
I want to mark my classes as honors because I will not be able to fulfill the 18 units to be certified but I want to have the honors classes that I've taken to be marked for some credit.
